Alison Karfeld
When not trying to decipher the finer points of the Federalist Papers for CARECEN, Alison Karfeld is an enthusiastic member of the HIAS Young Leaders DC family. She has participated in the last three advocacy missions and numerous fundraisers and is a former Community Service Chair. She looks forward to expanding the HIAS-CARECEN relationship through an oral interview project to document students' immigration experiences.
When not HIAS-ing or CARECEN-ing, she is committed to the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure (inspired by her mama, a 28-year breast cancer survivor!!!), for which she is equally passionate... and not above posing for incriminating photos in pink tutus or clown suits.
