Join HIAS Young Leaders DC for a holiday potluck and cultural exchange event with our friends at CARECEN (the Central American Resource Center). We will enjoy food, music, games, and celebrate both the accomplishments of students and the contributions of volunteers.
The event will include:
• Hanukkah and Christmas festivities such as latke-making, menorah-lighting, cookie decorating, and dreidel.
• Presentation of HIAS subsidies to CARECEN English/citizenship students.
• Volunteer acknowledgments for both CARECEN teachers and HIAS volunteers.
HIAS Young Leaders is a dedicated community of Jewish young professionals and students who have come together to help advance HIAS’ mission of rescue, reunion and resettlement of Jewish and other migrants.
